Our raw heather honey is never heated, filtered, or pasteurised, so you get all the natural enzymes, vitamins, and good stuff that makes raw honey special. We harvest our heather honey between autumn and winter, when the pink heather flowers are blooming and other plants have finished flowering.

How We Produce Our Raw Heather Honey

We place our beehives in the Scottish Glens, where there is a good amount of heather plants and a safe and clean environment. The honeybees pollinate heather plants from where they collect the nectar and return to the hives. The texture of heather honey is jelly-like and it is hard to extract. We produce quality honey from these beehives by organic means and do not involve chemical processes. We have been collecting honey from beehives for years and understand the importance of its quality.

Our Gentle, Raw Extraction Process

We carefully extract the honey using a specialised heather honey press, which gently crushes the honeycomb frames to release the honey. We always ensure our bees retain enough honey to sustain them through the winter months when flowering plants are scarce.

Keeping It Simple and Natural

Once we’ve extracted the honey, we store it at room temperature in clean containers — no heating or pasteurising. Instead, we simply store it at room temperature before jarring, preserving all its wonderful properties. The result? Honey as nature made it: flavourful, with full of nutritional benefits — and perfect whether enjoyed straight from the spoon or spread on your morning toast.
